Synopsis

Chicago. The City that works. Sounds good, but everybody knows that crime is the number one industry.

Politicians have mismanaged city funds for decades, police department is undermanned and overworked, and the citizens are at their wits end. The resurgence of organized crime has been astronomical.

Seemingly overnight, crew after crew has sprung from the gutter. The strongest, most vicious of the crews belongs to Knuckles Davis, a former gang banger turned mob guy. Nothing good to say about this man. He has his hands on everything, girls, guns, drugs. The more exotic the better.

Underboss Tony has grown tired of working so hard, and making so little. He decides to take matters into his own hands and lures one of Knuckles distributors out to be murdered. Having dispatched with the distributor, Tony then decides to redirect shipments of various “items” thru the large number of warehouses in Knuckles’ empire.

One shipment in particular sets in motion a roller coaster ride no one could have predicted. The truck driver cuts off a limo. A regular, everyday limo, but its passengers are not so regular. Inside, the Devreuxs. Maalik and Serena. Desendents of Prince Mamuwalde, these passengers are indeed aristocratic vampires. Chauffeured and tended to by Frank, a hulking “being “who protects and cherishes his sires.

Whether out of rage, or sport, no one truly knows, the truck employees lives come to an end that night. Violently, graphically. When it ends, the Vamps realize they’ve stumbled upon an opportunity. This warehouse is actually an art gallery, something Serena had always wanted. Just like that, the Devereuxs would make it theirs. SO LET IT BE SAID, SO LET IT BE DONE.

One of the “victims “is spared and kept on to continue running things. Greg is his name and now he’s been turned into a vampire. Unbeknownst to Erin, a young, pretty, struggling student who has been trying to make ends meet thru work study as a reporter on the college newspaper. Erin convinces Greg to let her cover the upcoming event at the gallery. At the event it’s here that Erin discovers that something isn’t right.

Pictures that she takes don’t seem to show the images of the Devreuxs. She then seeks out the advice of Mr. Collins, a trusted advisor at the college. Or is he? Mr. Collins seems to know a little too much about “Vampires.”

Meanwhile, Knuckles grows inpatient about his shipment. He dispatches a crew to look into the situation. The crew meets a gruesome end against the Vampires. Now Knuckles is steamed. He sends a follow-up crew, who meets a similar fate. Armed with information from Tony, who witnessed the last massacre, Knuckles knows what he must do. Contract some “supernatural “help.

After doing her research, Erin realizes that she is in the story of a lifetime. But to cash in, she must go back to the gallery and get real proof. Now that an outside super squad is challenging the vampires, they realize that a war is about to start.

They prepare for an all-out assault from Knuckles and crew as back and forth they battle. In the middle of all the turmoil, Erin discovers the REAL contents of the crates and their true value.
